||Volker Püschel's office
has worked upon all aspects of garden design and landscape architecture
since the mid 1970's, concentrating mainly on the planning of golf
courses and sports fields. The range of projects also includes private
gardens, the planning and supervision of the grounds of public and
municipal facilities such as hospitals, town halls and children's
play areas, as well as the landscaping of residential areas, banks
and insurance companies. Many of these projects have often included
facade planting and roof gardens on buildings and underground parking.
All of the services normally associated with the execution of a project–from
feasibility studies and concepts to detailed design and construction
observation–are provided. Numerous competition prizes and project
awards, as well as satisfied clients both at home and abroad, are
testimonials to the success of the office.
Volker Püschel is a member of the German Institute of Landscape
Architects (BDLA), Member of the Chamber of Architects NRW and the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) U.K. "Senior Member (R)”.
After studies in landscape architecture in Berlin Volker Püschel
spent six years gaining professional experience in such offices as
those of Bernd Kuhlwein in Bremen and Richard Bödeker in Neanderthal.
He travelled the whole middle and far east for more than a year. After that in 1972 he established his own office with his wife Helgard in Mettmann
near Düsseldorf. From then on his work took him to all parts
of Germany as well as to other countries, for example Pakistan, for
the landscaping of the airports in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Today Volker Püschel is mainly concerned with gardens for private
clients and specialises in the planning of golf courses from design
to site supervision.
