This 18 hole golf course (PAR 72, 6164m) with driving range, practice
facilities and 3 short holes was created here in 1995 on a hilly,
but barren landscape. With its 93 hectares it is generously large
in size. When planning began, the rule was for a division of the site
into three parts: one third for golf, one third for ecological compensation
and one third for buffer areas (roughs). The grass was sown after
only 7 months of construction, whereby a relatively high sum was invested
in the planting. Today just 10 years later, the former ,denuded' landscape
shows first signs of becoming a landscape park with its many ecological
niches, ponds, afforested areas, open orchard meadows and fallow land.
The course is just as popular with guest players, who admire its high
playing qualities and the fact that the course can be played throughout
the year, even after long periods of rain. Total construction costs:
€ 7.5 million including the clubhouse.
